This morning I woke up at 4.15 am to watch the sun rise. It was a bit cloudy but the sun rise was beautiful. The sky was red, orange and pink. Just stunning. I was joined by Jordan, Doug and Kat. There were some animals around but not to many. I saw 3 white rhino sleeping at the river and after they got up the walked around.

We had to get the stuff ready to go to town. To get rid of the buffalo leg Fi and Ryan decided to bring it to the buffalo boma to see if it could attract some vultures. This is so they could feed of this. We left at 6.45 am. Today it was my turn again to scan. We dropped the leg of at the camera trap and then drove on again. Whilst doing this we came across a warthog with 4 tiny babies, they were so cute.

When we drove up to Mpila hill we had our first stop. Here I had to scan for 4 different dogs, not that many. When we got back on the road, Fi noticed the car wasn’t doing what it should do. Fi checked the tier and it was going flat. We found the rock that made the hole and Fi plugged up the hole. She did these very quickly and the tier was fixed. While moving on Fi picked up some speed to get us to Mtubatuba. On the way some peoples caps were flying off. This was still in the park. Sadly mine flew of when we were on the public road after being passed by a truck. I felt so bad because it’s a very busy road and you shouldn’t stop on roads like this. ☹.

We arrived at Feast bistro to have breakfast. Ryan and Kelsey were waiting her for us. I ordered a pizza. This was much better then the last sandwich I had the last time. With Fi I shared a piece of cheesecake and this was nice to. I decided to pay for the people from Wildlife act.

In town we picked up some water and filled up the car. Then we did some shopping in Pick and Pay. Together with Fi I did the groceries for the camp. I’m getting better at it every time. The boys helped us by bring things we asked for. Whilst doing this they played some rugby moves what made quite a few people look up. After finishing this we drove to an other place were we had to pick up the freezer. Ryan all ready bought it while we were still doing the groceries. We tried to take out the last bench but we didn’t have the right plyers to do so. We tried to get sum but everything we got was or to big or to small. In the end it worked out. The freezer fitted in without taking the bench out. It was al a bit more tight in the back but we made it.

While driving back in the park I had to scan a few more times but this wasn’t to bad. Every time I turned I got fed some Nix Nacks by Jordan. This was quite funny. We got back to camp at 3 pm. We didn’t go on an afternoon session today. I helped Bronwen prepare dinner and looked up some birds in a book. During this 4 of the others were doing yoga. Something I don’t have any interest in but watching them do this is just the best. 😊

During the evening I showed Fi and Bronwen some movies of Golden. Fi said she is a horse she would love to ride. I can’t argue with that, she is the best horse anyway.

It had been a very hot day today: 37°C. Not thinking about how strong the sun shines I didn’t put on any sun screen so I got a bit burned but nothing to bad though.
