Imfolozi dag 15: The end of 2 wonderful weeks

Today was the change over day. We were leaving at 6 so I could sleep in. I did go out to the rock to see the sunrise but it was cloudy again. This was no fun. I had packed most of my stuff last night so I was finished early and I had to wait till we left. The car was quite full. I helped to get the last bits ready to leave. When we left I felt sad. I have had a wonderful 2 weeks and if I have to go back to a project I think this will be my first choice.
On our way to the gate we didn’t see much, just some baboons, impala, zebra and a grey duiker. We went to Mpila hill to scan and it looked greener than the first time we were there. This is absolutely a wonderful spot to oversee a big part of Imfolozi.
When we arrived at the gate the front of the car was checked by the guards. They finished and we left. It was extremely cold on the back of the car today. I haven’t been this cold since I’ve been here.
We arrived at Wendy’s where we had our English breakfast. It tasted good. We left around 10.30 am to drop Sonja, Estelle and Jo off at Spar. They were going to Richards Bay. Two big hugs and one handshake. Oh what am I glad to get rid of Sonja. I’ll miss Jo and Estelle will join us later on in the week in Mkuze.
After this it was just Emilie, Ryan and me. We got some water, ordered lunch and went back to Wendy’s. Here we sat and I tried to upload some photo’s on my blog. Fi came here as well after returning from her week of.
Around 1.20 pm we left to go to the supermarket. Here Emilie and I bought some stuff to take with us to Mkhuze.
When transport arrived we said good bye to these to great monitors. They, the 3 volunteers and some other factors made my time in Imfolozi the best till so far.
