After a very short night I woke up at 3.20 am to get ready to go on session. I got ready and was waiting to leave at 4 am. Sadly Megan didn’t show up. I decided to wait till 4.45 am. In the mean time I cleaned up the kitchen and living aria that was still a mess after last night. When I was finished with this I decided to go back to bed, Megan wasn’t coming. I laid in my bed but couldn’t sleep anymore. Then at 6.40 am I heard the car leaving. Great I’ve been a wake and she didn’t come and check if I wanted to go with her. This pissed me off.

So I tried to go back to sleep but I was over it. Laying down in my bed with nothing to do but twisting and turning. When I finally picked up my laptop and started writing and listening to music. I kept this up for the rest of the morning and the early afternoon. While I was doing some washing the nyala’s were very close. One just stood there when I was hanging up my clothes on the clothes line. I hadn’t seen him but he stood about 4 meters away from me. This was a bit of a surprise.

We left and I was still not feeling happy. During the session I’ve been very quiet. When we checked MCM22 in the boma we found the female dogs here. Hope was relaxed but Zile was a bit more careful.

Then the challenge to find MLF5, MLM7 and MLM8. We did get signal but they were in the wrong spot to get to them. This was the beautiful drive back up the mountain. During our search we came across a whole journey of giraffe. They walked nicely in a line and posed for us. Then a dazzle of zebra’s came along with a tiny little fowl. Just the cutest one I have seen so far.

Back at camp a quick dinner and of to bed
