After Ryan picked me up we had to wait for 2 other volunteers to arrive. They are a mother and son from America. Her name is Katlyne and his is Jordan. We got some water and then drove to Wendy’s were we waited. Some of the other volunteers were waiting to go to Manyoni.

At 1.25 pm we left and got to the Spar supermarket. Ryan gave me the shopping list so I could make a start. It is harder to shop for stuff when it is for so many people. We were joined by Bronwen and Doug. She was born here in South Afrika but now lives in the UK and he is from Australia, south from Perth.

ON our drive to get to camp we saw a few different animals; 65 white-backed vultures and a lappet-faced vulture as well. 3 of them had a tag. I took some photo’s and I could read the numbers on their tags. Closer to camp I saw something black with a red face. I made Ryan drive back but I couldn’t find it again. We slowly drove of and then we spotted the southern ground-hornbill. We stopped to watch him, then another one showed up. In the end a young one was there as well. I thought this was a good spot by me. Just a little bit proud. 😊.

Back at camp we got the shopping out of the way and Ryan gave a quick safety briefing.

I was so tiered and went to bed at 8 pm without any food
