Imfolozi dag 11: The twins

In the morning session we went to find some cheetahs. We scanned for the twins. And had signal. We scanned a few times. At one stage we had passed them. Whilst driving back Ryan spotted them. The female was sitting and her brother was stretched out. She walked around a bit and lay down next to him. The started to lick each other. Our spot was not the best place to see them but it was okay. One of the game drive parked behind us and someone in the car started to clap in his hands. What does he think he is doing. We drove backwards to warn them of. It is not a zoo. Back to our previous spot the cheetahs started to move. The walked across the road for a while and then they disappeared into the bush. Off to the next one. We had signal for CM14 but he didn’t show his face We moved after sitting in the same spot for over an hour. At this spot we weren’t lucky either. We drove around for a while but no lucky. Back to camp.

The session in the afternoon we drove north for a bit to scan to get signal for Nkawu. On our way there we saw a martial eagle. What a beautiful bird and quite big as well. After scanning we turned around and tried to find CF17 and her cubs. We found some impressive animals: giraffe with a little one, 3 elephant bulls (2 of them were very big and one of them got to about 5 meters from the car) and a black-bellied bustard. We waited for CF17 for a while but nothing appeared out of the bush. After waiting here for about 45 minutes we went back to camp.
