This morning I was supposed to wake up at 7.15 am but I think my internal clock has changed and I woke up at 5.30. I did stay in bed but was wide awake. I was going horse riding today.

Estelle and I walked to the supermarket to get me some breakfast and then we walked to the car rental place. Here we rented a car. It took quite long before we had it an we were getting late to get to the riding place on time. It was a longer drive than I had thought but I was still on time. I was joined by a lady and a gentleman from France. I had a white horse with some spots. His name was Gipsy and he wasn’t to friendly. Our guide was Lucas and we had 2 backup guides with us as well. We started and I discovered he use to work at Horizon. So a good way to bond. It was a easy ride. When we started trotting the backup guide fell of his horse. I thought this was quite funny. He got back up but not for long. During the canter the horse got spooked again and he fell off. They decided he was going to walk home and we would continue. We rode for just over 2 hours. It was lovely too be back on a horse.

Estelle and Pascal came to pick me up and we drove back to the lodge. Here I played some pool with Pascal but I need to work on this. I’m getting worse. ☹.

During the afternoon we decide to go to one of the beaches. We ordered lunch in a little bakery and drove to the beach. It was extremely windy so we didn’t stay for a long time. After everybody finished their lunch we took of and went to Cape Vitale. An other national park. Aaron was driving and we just relaxed in the back. When ever there was a hide we got out and had a look. Some of them had just stunning views, out over the lake, the beaches or some forest aria’s. On the way back from one out the lookout points we bumped in some buffalo who thought the road was theirs and we had to drive backwards. Aaron was a bit spooked by this, quite funny. When we drove on the road was blocked by a fallen over tree, we couldn’t move it so we had to back up and turn around. We tried to find the lighthouse but we didn’t succeeded. Around 5 pm we arrived at the beach at the end of the cape. We walked up to the beach, had a look around and then back to the car. We were cutting it close because the park closes at 6 pm. If you’re late you get a fine of R500. We were right on time and went back to the lodge.

We went out for dinner and drinks again. Tonight I was driving. The start of this didn’t go as planned. The car was parked on a hill and it just rolled down a little bit but the others got a huge fright. We drove to our dinner place and had dinner. Most of them were tiered so we didn’t go out and went back to the lodge.
